| Ok - now that you are laughing you head off, just remember, everyone starts showing dogs somehow or somewhere. I started off like most Junior Hanlders, I followed my mom are at dog shows, started helping with the dogs, grooming the dogs, and then begging enough to be allowed to show. I won multiple Best Junior Handlers and had a blast. In the 1970's AKC did not have the Junior program they do now and it is wonderful how far they have come with scholarships and awards for junior handlers. Showing dogs as a teenage made me become who I am today and I am forever grateful for becoming involved in the sport of showing dogs. |
